What We Do

We build and fix eight kinds of fence and gate work: fence repair, wood and cedar privacy fences, wrought iron, chain link, pipe and ranch fencing, deer and game fencing, driveway and automatic gates, and fence staining and sealing.

That covers a lot of ground, from one leaning post in a Boerne backyard to a long run of game fence out past Sisterdale. What ties it together is the ground itself. Around here, it's shallow, stony soil over limestone on the uplands and loamy clay on the creek terraces, and post holes hit rock often. The posts have to be set for whichever one is under your fence line, and that's where every job starts.

We keep it simple with customers too. You'll see what most jobs cost right here on the site, every estimate is free, and we'll tell you whether your fence needs repairing or replacing.

How We Work

Four habits that shape every job, big or small.

  1. Set it right the first time

Posts go deep enough for the fence they carry, drilled into limestone where the ground calls for it and set in concrete. Most leaning fences start with a post that was set too shallow, often one that stopped short at rock, and this is how you avoid that.

  2. Prices out in the open

What most jobs cost is right here on the site. You should know roughly what a fence costs before anyone comes out.

  3. Repair when repair will hold

If a few posts and pickets will fix it, that's what we'll recommend. We only suggest a new fence when the old one is truly past saving.

  4. Rules checked before digging

Boerne permits and site plans, Fair Oaks Ranch permits, HOA rules and oak wilt near live oaks. We sort out what applies before the first post hole.

Lots, Estates and Acreage

Our work splits three ways. On residential lots in Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch, it's mostly wood privacy, chain link, repairs and staining. On estate properties, it's iron frontage, pool enclosures and automatic driveway gates. On acreage out toward Comfort and Sisterdale in Kendall County and Spring Branch in Comal County, it's pipe and ranch fence, high game fence and ranch entries.

Same care with the posts, whether they go into limestone rock or creek-bottom clay.

Permits and Ground Around Boerne

Two things decide how a fence goes in around here: the rules where you live and the ground under the line. We check both before we price the job.

  • City of Boerne A fence inside city limits needs a permit application and a site plan showing where the fence will go. Contractors must be registered with the city to work inside city limits.
  • Fair Oaks Ranch Runs its own permits. New fences and additions need a permit from the City of Fair Oaks Ranch; replacing a fence in the same spot doesn't.
  • Oak wilt Boerne's permitting office also oversees oak wilt rules, which matters when digging post holes near live oaks.
